We Got A Question, and You Got An Answer !
Q: Why some of your incense are so expensive ? For example,
#554 on your mail order catalog, a box of 45 sticks costs $37 !
A: That's because this particular item is made of Kyara, a high quality
Aloeswood. It is said that one ounce of the highest quality of Kyara
would be equal an ounce of gold. The best of Aloeswood can be found
in the dense jungles of Vietnam. The item, #554, has one of the highest
quality Kyara. Plus, this is a gift item and it contains a porcelain stand.
The box is made of Paulownia wood, and it is covered by a kimono-sachet fabric.
If you have #554 already, and you are looking for a better deal in refills,
we have it ! Our #539 ($78) has 150 sticks, and each stick is about
2.4 times the size of #554's, so the unit price is almost a quarter of #554's !
Aloeswood, Jinkoh in Japanese, is a prized aromatic wood, and only
mother nature and time can create this.
Q: Your mail order catalog's "Exceptional Quality" section has three
Aloeswood items, actually, one Jinkoh and two Kyaras.
How is the difference ? Just a higher-price is a higher-quality ?
And, May I have a sample of "Exceptional Quality" ?
A: In general, that's right, but that's not the whole story.
For example, if Jinkoh/Kyara was a grape, an incense would be a wine.
And that's why we characterized them into different names.
#552 Jinkoh Juzan/Aloeswood Fortune Mountain
#553 Kyara Kongo/Selected Aloeswood Diamond
#554 Kyara Taikan/Premium Aloeswood Great Perspective
We will send you our free sample sticks of "Exceptional Quality"
in a durable paper-tube, with any paid order. When you place
an order, please mention a sample of "Exceptional Quality".
The sample tube contains three types of incense, one stick of each;
#528 Mainichi Byakudan/Everyday Sandalwood
#533 Kyara Kongo/Selected Aloeswood Diamond
#539 Kyara Taikan/Premium Aloeswood Great Perspective
Plus, we have more sampler of our incense products!
We have most of all our products as a sampler, but not for everything.
So, we would try to match with what you would like to try, if we don't
have the exact one.
There isn't a topic on this right now, but a suggestion I'd like to make - well two of them. The first suggestion is a topic for suggestions, hehe. The second is sending the UPS number when the shipment is sent out - which doesn't seem to currently being done, but is helpful for those of us who seem to wait by the door for packages for some reason :)

With my last order you sent me a free sample of "bees in love" incense, but I cannot find it on your website. One of my friends liked it a LOT and I wanted to buy some more for her. Did you discontinue this scent? If not how can I order some?

Dear Eric,
Unfortunately, the NK "Bees in Love" line has been discontinued; however, we do still have some of the incense in stock. You can purchase the incense by calling us at (888)775-5487, M-F 9a-5p PST. The price is $6/piece, but if you choose to purchase 10+ pieces we can give you 10% off because it is a discontinuted item.
